Chef Danhi & Co Retreat
Robert making breakfast in the Mojave
Chef Danhi & Co recently returned from our first annual retreat. We took this opportunity to get out of the confusion of everyday work where we could more accurately analyze the big picture; sometimes it is hard to see the trees within the forest. From this perspective we were able to talk about what we are doing, how we are doing it, and what we would like to be doing and how to get there. On top of a lot of very useful conversation and planning we had a lot of fun doing some recreational target shooting, or as Robert calls it “Ballistic Indulgence”, and romping around the Mojave in my Jeep.

What a great idea… I heard a great story about two lumberjacks who was competing to see who can chop down more trees… Lumberjack #1 was strong and cut down many trees with his ax but Lumberjack #2 was not as strong but after every hour, he took 10 minutes off… at the end of the day, the results was in and found that LumberJack #2 chopped down more trees then the stronger opponent… and when they interviewed how he did it, he simply answered… while Lumberjack #1 was chopping down trees without any rest, he simply took 10 minutes off to sharpen his ax and thus sharpened his mind… so thank you Chef Danhi and Chef Slatkin for reminding your viewers to take a “Ballistic Indulgence” every once in a while.
